Manali is a very romantic place to visit specially during the snowy season. The white layer of fluffy snow make this a place not less than a heaven in itself. Its beauty during autumn and summer season is also great. The sound of water coming from Beas river, sound of gong from Hidimba Devi temple, Voice of people chattering at mall road made this place even more resonant.
There are a lot of places in Manali which a traveler can add to his itinerary. Places like Hidimba Devi temple, mall road, Rishi Vashisth temple, Solang valley, Rohtang pass etc are the favorite choices of travelers.

Reaching Manali from Delhi takes around 13 to 14 hours through personal vehicle or public bus service. There is no train available for Manali. One can take flight till Kullu.

Day 2 -

Vashisth Temple — there is saying about Vashisth temple that Rishi Vashisth was left depressed on finding out that his children had been killed by Vishwamitra. Rishi Vashisth tried to commit suicide by jumping into a river but the river refused to kill him. This temple has sulfurous hot water springs that said to have healing power and good for skin diseases. Vashisth temple is 3 kms away from Manali across the Beas river. There is a Samosa center near by the temple should try.

Hidimba Devi temple — It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahābhārata. It is built of wood in a cedar forest has intricate carvings & a shrine.

Old Manali — as the name suggests old part of Manali is old Manali. It is a very peaceful and full of greenery. Morning here is a different feel with the voices of water stream and birds chattering. It has some good hotels and stays available.

Manu temple — The popularity of this majestic temple lies in the fact that it is the only temple dedicated to Manu; so whoever visits Manali makes it a point to visit this temple. The travelers are advised to wear dresses covering the knees and shoulders, while inside the temple.

Mall Road — in the evening the crowd here is phenomenal. Little shops have winter cloths and local items. Lighting of the place is kind of soothing.
